 Video Game Tester Requirements

The first of the video game tester requirements  is the age, in most companies they would like you to be a least 18 years old. But the youngest that I have heard of was 15 years old.  Some times it depends on the game they are testing do to the age appropriate game testing. Some games are age restricted.

 The equipment that you have must be the lasts versions out. Like you can not test a PS3 game if you have a PS2 and so on. You also do not know which company is going to hire you to test so it is not uncommon to have all of the game consoles meaning XBOX360, Wii and PS3. As you get more jobs under your belt and build up your resume the bigger companies will bring you in to there site for game testing.

One of the most important video game tester requirements is you must have a lot of experience in playing games. Not just play the game to the end and that’s it. You need to what to find every secret passage way, every shot cut, and get the highs score possible. Because this is what you will be doing.

Most people think that games are only played on XBOX360, PS3, and Wii. That’s not true. Video games are also played on PC’s. Pc games will require the newest computer on the market, do to Possible hardware problems like Graphic card, speed of processor.

Now the last of the video game tester requirements is to have a resume. Your are probably saying a resume! Yes! The company is going to need to know the systems you have, what kind of Pc you have, have you done video testing jobs before, how many jobs, how long did they take, this is a basic list you need to write down and then you would e-mail it to them at there request. There are ways that can help you get started in the field. There are a few good site to get you connected to the right people. You always want to send you application when ever possible. You never know if you are the person they are looking for.
